In Year 3, we have been learning about the Ancient Egyptians. We studied the changes across the three kingdoms, including: the way in which pharaohs were buried; the way in which beliefs developed and spread; the development of using hieroglyphs as a means of communication; and how the ancient Egyptians perfected the technique of embalming, or mummification within the middle kingdom.

Throughout our learning, we explored many secondary sources; our visit to the British Museum allowed our children to view some of these artifacts in all of their magnificent glory! Not only were the children in awe of the obvious craftsmanship of this ancient civilisation, they also studiously engaged in specific tasks and were incredibly focused upon finding evidence from the exhibits to justify their opinions and consolidate their knowledge.Well done year 3-for your exemplary behaviour and your thirst for knowledge!
