02 Nov Art through music, inspired by Alma Thomas
Ash Class and Chestnut Class enjoyed a creative final lesson from our What a Colourful World art unit, inspired by the colourful work of Alma Thomas. Just like the artist, who often listened to music while painting, the children let the sounds and rhythms guide their creativity. They listened to different styles of music, responding to slow and fast melodies through a variety of lines, patterns and vivid colours. Using manuscript paper, the children created their own unique abstract artwork, bringing music to life through colour and movement. What a wonderful way to celebrate creativity and finish our art unit!
