Year 4 were thrilled to attend an online workshop by local author Nadia Shireen. Nadia is an ambassador for the National Year of Reading, and one of the school’s focus authors. This workshop was on her humorous chapter book series, ‘Grimwood’. She spoke about what it’s like being an author, where she finds her inspiration and her writing process. The children also took part in a draw-a-long of one of her characters (Eric Dynamite) and an author Q&A session. She was excited to hear that as well as there being a Ted in her books, we also have two Teds in Year 4 too!
