09 Jul Year 5 Cook Spaghetti Bolognese
As part of our DT cooking unit, 5 Elm have taken part in a series of lessons that allowed them to gain new knowledge and some basic cooking skills. We discussed how cattle are farmed before it reaches our tables. We also tasted different pasta sauces, explored the ingredients used and their nutritional value. Then we practised our cutting skills and considered food hygiene and kitchen safety before we began cooking our spaghetti bolognese. Thank you Marcello for your amazing tips.
