11 Jun PGL Residential
Year 5’s three-day residential trip to PGL was a wonderful experience filled with excitement, laughter and new challenges. The children set off by coach on Wednesday morning and, after a two-and-a-half-hour journey, arrived ready for adventure. After lunch, they began their first activity: the Giant Swing, which was a thrilling way to start the trip.
That evening, the children enjoyed a lively disco, where they sang, danced and had great fun joining in with the trending sea lion dance.
On Thursday, they took part in a full day of activities, including Survivor, where they built shelters and created small fires using flint and steel. They also enjoyed canoeing, buggy building and abseiling, before ending the day with an exciting PGL tournament.
On Friday, the children completed their final activities, including Jacob’s Ladder and Aeroball, where they had to throw a ball into a basket while trampolining. By Friday afternoon, they returned to school tired but happy, arriving home to a cheering crowd of parents and siblings. It was a fantastic residential, full of teamwork, courage and memories the children will treasure.
