22 May 5 Elm’s trip to Pizza Express
As part of our DT cooking unit, 5 Elm enjoyed an exciting trip to Pizza Express where they became pizza chefs for the day. They learnt about where pizza ingredients come from and why fresh ingredients are important. The children discovered that the tomato passata used on the pizzas comes all the way from Italy and is made using ripe, fresh tomatoes. They also had the chance to make and add toppings to their own pizzas, developing their cooking skills while having lots of fun. 5 Magnolia will be visiting soon too.
