22 May Year 2 Discover Microhabitats at Railway Field
Year 2 enjoyed a visit to Railway Fields as part of their Science learning on habitats and microhabitats. The children explored the different microhabitats and discussed the plants and animals living there with particular focus on minibeasts. Children searched under logs, leaves and stones, thinking about why certain creatures choose specific environments to live in. The children showed great curiosity and enthusiasm to take their learning about habitats outdoors in our local area.
