Year 3/4:
On 12/05/22 our Year 3/4 Athletics team took part in the Quad Athletics championships, whereby each athlete takes part in 75m sprint, 400m run, Javelin, Long Jump and a relay. Our athletes all had a fantastic day out and put in some brilliant performances on the day, notably an exciting win in our boys 4x100m relay race in which we won on the day, just edging our friendly sporting rivals North Harringay on the line. Well done to Jack, Hadi, Isaac, Joseph, Aya, Daejanae, Rosa and Sahara.
Year 5/6:
On 19/05/22 our Year 5/6 Athletics team took part in the Haringey Athletics Championships, a new tournament inspired by the upcoming commonwealth games. There were lots of events on the day including very gruelling 800m and 1500m races which are new to our athletes. It was great to put all of the athletes training in events from their PE lessons into practice on the day and see all of our team perform so well. Massive congratulations to Karis, Hussain, Zain, Ayyub, Kaiser, Ihsan, Paloma, Suki, Isobel, Penelope, Isabella, MIranda, Iris, Alymira, Rufus, James, Otis, Dominic, Georgie and Barbara.
On 23/05/22 some of our Athletes then took part in the Quad Athletics championships, in a similar format to the Year 3/4 tournament. We excelled on the day and all athletes competed brilliantly and impressed throughout all events. Notable performances on the day were Georgie finishing 2nd in her 600m race amongst 25 other Athletes, and our boys relay race where a dramatic finish with Karis overtaking numerous runners on the last leg led to a victory for our team. Well done to Paloma, Suki, Isobel, Georgie, Karis, Hussain, Zain and Ayyub.
