Year 1 have been designing a toy, suitable for a young child, that includes wheels, axles and axle holders, which will allow the wheels to move. After designing and constructing their toy, they knew they had to test their mechanisms, identifying what stops wheels from turning and finally evaluating their mechanisms thinking how they could further improve their toy and what makes them appealing to children. The children have had great fun and they loved watching their toys move successfully!
