This week the children have been investigating changes for Science Week. The week began with a visit from Freshwater Theatre Company. Years 1, 2 5 and 6 received a visit from The Exploritorium. They found out about forces, motion and plant growth.
In EYFS and key stage 1 the children have taken part in a range of activities including making slime, designing parachutes to keep a boiled egg from breaking, creating musical instruments, investigating the effect of vinegar on pennies and making bubbles.
In key stage 2, the children have taken part in activities such as lemonade volcanoes, cabbage magic, exploring gravity defying water and lava lunacy.
The children have also visited Railway Fields to explore wildlife habitats and the changes in spring.
