08 Dec Infant Gardening Club
It has been a busy term for our green fingered infants! The children have enjoyed getting up close to the plants and many mini-beasts. We have observed the garden go through many changes, from Autumn coming through to Winter. We have seen new growth as well as decay and been entertained by the interesting things that our foxy night visitors bring into the garden, less so by the damage created! We have harvested all of what was planted in the Spring term: potatoes, parsnips, blackcurrants, tomatoes, spinach, rainbow chard and rocket. We have enjoyed tasting sweet tomatoes, sharp blackcurrants and firey rocket. We have collected marigold and globe artichoke seeds to sow in the Spring term as well as planting garlic, red and white onions, broad beans and bulbs ready for new growth in the Spring.
