23 Jan Fire! Fire!
Both year 2 classes visited St Paul’s Cathedral and the Museum of London to find out about the Great Fire. 350 years ago one of the most infamous disasters struck London – the Great Fire of 1666. The children were able to experience the destruction of London through the eyes of people who were there at the time, exploring evidence and finding how the city rose from the ashes in the Fire! Fire! exhibition at the Museum of London. The children had a guided tour of the St Paul’s Cathedral which included role play and storytelling to find out how the fire started and what it was like to live through this historic event!
