06 Mar World Book Day

We started the week off with a World Book Day assembly where the children shared what they enjoy reading and their memorable characters or books.

Not only have we dressed up this year for World Book Day, but we have also run some exciting competitions. Children, from early years up to year 6, have brought in some fantastic 3D models of characters, props or settings; painted character potatoes and designed their own front covers.  I am sure that you will agree that the creativity and effort that has gone into these projects is incredible!

In KS1, we have also celebrated creative nooks and dens where the children have loved to cuddle up with a book. Some children were even inspired to write their own story based on a well-known book!
