This half term, Year 6 have been studying ‘Animals including humans’ in Science. As part of this unit, the children have learnt about: the structure and function of the circulatory system; components of the blood; types of blood vessels and their function; how to keep the heart healthy; and different blood disorders. This learning included making their own models of the blood and observing changes in heart rate at rest and during exercise. Check out some of the learning!
