Yesterday, archaeologist, Dr Diane Davies, visited our 6 pupils to share her knowledge of the Maya civilisation. She treated them to a wonderful range of sources which really bought the civilisation to life. The children had a fantastic time exploring the achievements of the Maya: they learnt about architecture; Stela, kings and queens; calendars and astronomy; to name but a few! We are looking forward to further exploring this fascinating civilisation.
