25 Jun Year 5 at Cuffley Camp
The children left school extremely excited on Wednesday and arrived at the Pod village by about 11:45. Shortly after being given their groups’ pod, they had lunch and then went off on their first activity: shelter building. The children did not realise that they would actually get wet if their shelter was not waterproof due to the sun shining despite being reminded a few times. After this, they took part in some problem-solving activities. On Wednesday evening, the children toasted marshmallows around the camp fire. On Thursday morning, they were up bright and breezy ready for their hike in the morning. The rest of the activities included: orienteering, archery tag, climbing and a night line which involved all of their five senses! The children arrived back at school at approximately 4:45pm on Friday very happy but also sad that the trip had come to an end!
