27 Mar Year 4 Roman Pavilions
In our DT lessons this term we have been exploring different frame structures and testing how to make these structures stable. As part of our learning, we designed a Roman pavilion structure inspired by our History lessons on the Roman Empire. Then the children combined their individual ideas to form a final design for their pavilions. First, we sketched a pavilion frame and then started building with a range of materials. Then, the children added cladding to reinforce their structures. Finally, the children added fabric to make their pavilions stand out as you can see from the photos!
