27 Nov Year 4 – Every Picture Tells A Story
Over the past few weeks, year 4 have been exploring that there is a story behind every piece of art. The children have worked in pairs to analyse David Hockney’s ‘My Parents 1977’. They have written a narrative on a famous painting called ‘The Dance’ by Paula Reego and they even worked in groups to re-enact Edward Hopper’s ‘Tables for ladies’ as well as creating a brainstorm around the characters in the painting. Through the analysis of each piece of art we have explored the main elements of it such as line, shape, form and texture.
