This week, the children in Years 1-4 were lucky to meet to Faye Akapalu, a self-published author. Faye started writing, ‘to offer children’s books, that embrace diversity so that her children and other children of colour can see themselves represented in the books they read.’ The children got the opportunity to hear the story and ask her questions about how she became an author and publishing her first book. Faye is related to Cecilia who works in our kitchen.
