06 Jun Trip to the Postal Museum
On Wednesday 5th June, Year 1 went on a school trip to the Postal Museum to support our History topic ‘changes over time’. The children got to: ride the old mail train; roleplay being a post office worker; and learn about how the postal service has changed over the years. We also took part in an exciting engineering workshop and investigated real life problems encountered in the past at the rail mail, such as, what shape is the most suitable for making an underground tunnel? Can a train be pushed forward by air? Which materials allow electricity to pass through them?
