18 Mar Premier League Stars
On Monday, years 3 to 6 were treated to a special assembly led by Premier League Primary Stars. We were treated to a fantastic football themed assembly; it was inspiring to witness the children’s knowledge of the beautiful game coming to the forefront when quizzed about the Premier League. We also got to see the trophy and learn about how it was made and the clever way in which the three lions are represented. You’d be forgiven for thinking that the Premier League trophy was the main star of the show; it was, in fact, our Year 6 girl’s football team, who graciously accepted their new kit!
The aim of the charity is to empower girls and boys to enjoy football with confidence and challenge gender stereotypes both on and off the pitch. Premier League Primary Stars promotes that all aspiring footballers aim to:
- be ambitious
- be connected
- be inspiring
- be fair
We are sure that the assembly certainly motivated all the children across KS2 to enjoy more sport through taking part in more physical activity, like football! A special thank you to Rose Academy, in particular, Sean for organising the assembly! And a huge well done to Daejanae, Cerys, Aya, Rosa, Kamiah, Laila, Alessia, Nicole, Naomy, Lola, Nusaiba, Beau, Evelina and Malak-wear your new kit proudly girls!
