26 Feb Prehistoric Art
In Year 3 we have been exploring prehistoric art, including using charcoal and natural materials such as berries and spices to recreate prehistoric drawing techniques and colour pallets. To create our own cave paintings, we first made our own cave walls. We used cardboard, glue, grains, lentils and sand to form a textured surface. Then we mixed muted tones such as browns, burnt orange and maroon for our backgrounds. Finally, we decorated our walls with paintings of British wildlife such as badgers, owls, robins and deer. We hope you like our prehistoric cave art!
