03 Mar World Book Day
Thank you to everyone who dressed up to participate in World Book Day, we were impressed with your creativity!
Both staff and children had a fantastic day celebrating reading.
In EYFS and key stage one we started the day with a special assembly to share our amazing dressing up and talk about our favourite books. We also found out about Julia Donaldson, our focus author for the day. We learnt a poem called ‘I opened a Book’ she wrote about her love of reading then each class spent the day focusing on one of her stories.
In key stage 2 the children took part in a quiz to test the their book knowledge. 6 Acer won the quiz, with 59 out of 61 points!
