17 Oct Thames Water workshop for year 5
On Thursday, Year 5 was lucky enough to have a visit from an employee of the Thames Explorer Trust. Kate, the visitor, ran a workshop about the River Thames and the Port of London which links to Year 5’s IPC topic ‘Go with the Flow’.
The workshop included hands-on activities using a large floor map of the world and a large floor map of the Thames. The children also had to investigate world trade and the Port of London. This was then followed by role-play for the children to discover the history of the Port of London.
