02 Mar Football Tournaments
In February our girls and boys football teams took part in the 2023 premier league football tournament run by Tottenham Hotspur. These events are used as qualifiers to represent Tottenham in a nationwide tournament against other clubs representatives.
Our Girl’s team played on the 10th Feb. The girls were drawn in a very tough group, but despite this managed to play some brilliant football and pick up some great results. Unfortunately the girls didn’t manage to qualify from the group, but despite this had a fantastic day out. The team have progressed so much in the last year and are a pleasure to watch play football. Well done to Red, Georgie, Lola, Margot, Aphra, Malak, Florrie and Lily.
Our boy’s team played on the 24th Feb. The boys were very impressive on the day and play really exciting football, scoring some fantastic goals. It was a very tense group stage with us a part of 4 teams from the group of 7 fighting for the top 2 spots to qualify for the semi’s. Unfortunately we just missed out on qualification, however the boys can be really proud of how they played throughout the whole tournament. Well done to Rufus, Freddie, Evan, Ferdi, Jose, Gene, Dominic and James.
