13 Feb All Things Chinese
In nursery we have been celebrating Chinese New Year. The children have taken part in various activities including chopping Chinese vegetables and counting fortune cookies. We have also been making lanterns, dragon mask and fans, and even our own spring rolls. As part of the celebrations the role play area has been transformed into The Little Dragons’ Chinese Takeaway. The children have been cooking in the wok, serving up dishes to each other and taking delivery orders by phone. We enjoyed going to watch the Chinese dancer and finding out about all the different props the dancers use, as well as learning a dance and forming a Chinese dragon.
