15 Jan Year 2 Visit the National Gallery
Chestnut Class and Ash Class enjoyed taking part in an interactive workshop at the National Gallery this week. We looked at a range of paintings in the gallery with a resident expert and listened to stories about the people in the portraits. The children were encouraged to step inside of the picture and explore the objects, themes and choices made by the artists when creating their art work. This supported our recent Art topic: Portraits and History topic: Significant people. What an inspiring day!
