Our school has many fundraising initiatives. Some of these raise extra funds for our school and others support charities, both national and international
FRIENDS OF SOUTH HARRINGAY
Our Parents and Staff Association is known as The Friends of South Harringay (FOSH). On joining the school you automatically become a member of our organisation.
We are run by volunteers and we rely on the ideas, skills, help and time of people like you to make things happen.
We are a registered charity and have a committee who meet regularly. Our meetings include an AGM, which all parents and staff are welcome to attend. Our main purpose is to raise funds to support the school, as well as promoting opportunities for parents, carers and staff to come together.

Fundraising
The main purpose of the FOSH is to raise funds to the school to enable them to do projects that they wouldn’t normally be able to fund or prioritise.
Here are some things that we have funded in the past:
- Greenery and a gazebo structure in the Junior playground
- Nursery playground equipment
- The Bike and Scooter Park
- The ‘Podley’ play equipment for both Infants and Juniors
- Anti-pollution ivy and green coverage around the playgrounds
We have committed to funding these projects in the future:
Events
We have a successful programme across the whole school year ensuring each year group has at least one dedicated special event – usually a disco or a movie night as well as events that everyone can attend such as bake sales. We also hold annual events including a Christmas adventure trail, scoot-a-thon, quiz nights for parents and staff and of course the summer fair.

If you want to donate to us whilst we are not running events there are a number of way you can do this.

Buy goods through Easy Fundraising with Friends of South Harringay as your cause. You can purchase from over 400 different retailers including John Lewis, Argos, M&S, Clarkes … (the list goes on).
Please encourage your family and friends to sign up too and raise even more money for the school.
Corporate Match Funding
Our fundraising benefits enormously from corporate match funding and donations in kind. If your employers have any schemes we, as a registered charity, could sign up to please let us know.
