The start and the end of the school day is staggered in each school to allow parents and carers to drop off and pick up children from each site on time.
Our Nursery has a mixture of full and part time places. We offer places for children to start in the term after their third birthday. Most of our places are allocated to start in September but we do offer January start dates for children who have siblings in our school. Please note that our Nursery is open in term time only. If you would like to come and see our Nursery, please telephone the school on 0208 3402757 to arrange a visit.
Our current curriculum model uses the latest theories from cognitive psychology to inform our pedagogy, as well as creating a cohesive and exciting curriculum map; carefully chosen to provide our children with a learning experience which takes all of them onto their future stages of education with excellent knowledge, skills and understanding.
At South Harringay School we are committed to helping every child to reach their full potential, including those pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We aim to provide an inclusive environment and welcome pupils with SEND into the school community.
At South Harringay, we assess our pupils to keep track of what they have learnt and the progress they are making. In line with the new curriculum and raised expectations, which focusses very much upon ensuring that children acquire a deeper breadth and understanding of the skills and concepts they learn, assessment takes place in stages to allow teachers to plan for strengths and weaknesses.
