A Federation between the SHJS and SHINS schools has secured high-quality leadership for our schools and lead to continued improvement in teaching and learning for current and future pupils at the schools.
After many months of consulting with parents/carers, staff and the local community, the governing bodies of South Harringay Junior School, and South Harringay Infant School, voted to join together in a federation in April 2016.
The federation took effect on September 1st 2016, and we are now known as South Harringay School. We have one Headteacher, Ian Scotchbrook, and one governing body. We are doing all that we can to operate strategically, and day to day, as one school in the best interests of the children. Technically the Infant and Junior schools still exist, and we will have two budgets, and we will be inspected by OfSTED separately.
It is an exciting new chapter in the history of our schools. We welcome feedback on the impact of the changes.
