In our Art lessons this term we have been exploring printing, pattern and symmetry. As part of this learning, we used playdough to create our own stamps to print with ink. We made patterns on the stamps which then transferred when printing to create artwork with repeating patterns.In our next lesson we explored symmetrical patterns and printing with paint. We used we first made stamps out of polystyrene using different shapes. Then, we cut out the different shapes and printed them to create artwork with symmetrical patterns. Our artwork has been put on display in the art room as seen in these photos!
