Our world is where we live – our home, our family, our school. It is the places that we go, the people that we meet, the things that we can see, smell, hear, taste and touch.
We aim to inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Children learn about diverse places, people resources and both natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.
Geography is taught through our thematic curriculum in key stage 1 and through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) in key stage 2. Our thematic approach ensures that staff are able to tap into children’s interests and children are able to engage with the world around them.
